Students from across Iowa, including the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and Cornell College, have assisted with projects at the OSA that align with course goals in other University departments or fulfill requirements for independent study.

We promote undergraduate involvement in research and creative projects at the University of Iowa by facilitating the mentorship of students in research/creative work and providing platforms for students to explore research communication.

The mission of the Iowa Biosciences Academy (IBA) program is to identify academically talented underrepresented junior and senior students with aspirations for a research career and provide them with first-rate training that will facilitate their entry into Ph.D. programs in the biomedical, behavioral, and biophysical sciences.

The purpose of Hubbard Scholars is to create and maintain a healthy community for Black men on campus. As a group of men affiliated with the University of Iowa as students, staff, and faculty, we seek to follow the legacy of Phillip G. Hubbard, the first tenured African American professor at the University of Iowa.

A student-led program that connects undergraduates interested in sustainability and the environment with experienced mentors who provide guidance, support, and career development.

Peer mentors support and encourage student success, specifically new and first or second year students.

Honors Peer Mentors are experienced honors students who have been involved with the program in leadership roles.

Peer mentors will help lead discussion, answer questions, model resourceful student practices, share your experiences, and build relationships with first-year students.

Since 2017, the Tippie College of Business BizEdge program has empowered all learners through mentorship, scholarship, business networking, alumni events and more.

The mentoring program offered by the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering is designed to provide undergraduate students with an opportunity to supplement their formal education by gaining knowledge and support from mentors knowledgeable in careers in chemical engineering.
