Iowa Strong Surgery Social Enrichment Program
The Iowa Strong Surgery Social Enrichment Program aims to foster the interest of underrepresented in medicine (URIM) 1st and 2nd year University of Iowa students from Iowa in surgical specialties through a longitudinal education and mentorship centered approach. This program's focus lies in establishing a pathway to promote inclusive excellence within surgery, nurturing a commitment to serve Iowans, as well as advancing understanding of health disparities, and avenues to help address disparities.
